For Employers

We encourage any organization committed to Diversity, Equity, Inclusion, and Belonging (DEIB) to partner with us.

Apprentice

We’ll work with you to decide on a coding or design project that our cohort will work on for the duration of our 6-month program. We offer a senior programmer and senior UX/UI designer alongside as many learning hands as needed to do the work for a flat fee. Our cohort gets a hands-on project-based learning experience from our partnership. You have a finished project and a relationship with cohort members you’ve seen in action in the event you’d like to hire* them once the project is over.

*See our “Assess & Certify” section for more details on becoming an Organization of Choice for our graduates.

Assess & Certify

The STEM ENRG program works best when our graduates move into organizations where they can thrive. If you’re interested in hiring a graduate from our cohorts, we invite you to go through our Assess evaluation and certification process. Through a serious of surveys, discussions, and assessment tools, we’ll work together to determine where you are on your journey towards embedding DEIB into every facet of your company.

If you’re there (or well on your way), we will certify you as an Organization of Choice for our graduates and encourage them to find their next step with you. If you’re not quite there yet, we’ll give you recommendations and referrals to get you there. It’s our way of ensuring our graduates can thrive as they move into STEM while also battling the systemic barriers keeping women of color out of STEM careers, let alone thrive in them. Annual evaluations and continuing education credits ensure you’re staying the DEIB course and therefore retaining your Organization of Choice certification.

Hire

If you are an organization with a strong DEIB culture or one that is well on its way, we invite you to share open positions you may have so that we can match them with graduates of STEM ENRG. All Organizations of Choice* are automatically included in our job listing/recruitment program.

*See our “Assess & Certify” section for more details on becoming an Organization of Choice for our graduates.

Sponsor

We work hard to remove barriers of entry for women of color into STEM so it costs a lot to get a woman through the program. If you don’t have a project you’d like to partner with us on, or a job you’d like to post, you are welcome to sponsor a woman going through the program instead. For one or more women, you can either sponsor the full costs, a portion, or donate other support such as laptops, webcams, or software licenses.
